BoB FC Luckyduck gives RISE a Peptalk

Luckyduck: Start us off, basically what it comes down to is from our interpretation you guys are really, really worried about P8-. That needs to stop, because quite frankly there's... nothing's going to happen in P8- in the next 3 weeks. I can pretty much guarantee that. You guys don't have the numbers to siege against goons and we're not gonna take it in the next three weeks. I know that probably upset some of you, but it's just fact 'cause we don't have the time to deal with P8-. Does anybody have any questions, concerns about that?

RISE FC?: No, we had addressed that in our command channels a few weeks ago. We're not too worried about it. Individual pilots may be, but not fleet command.

Luckyduck: Right. Secondly, I know you guys are kinda missing some fleet commanders. I realize that some of them have gone AWOL, I'm sure real life has been getting in the way for some of them, but that's part of this game. It happens to every alliance. One of the things that really [needs] to happen is the guys who have the experience and have not really stepped up yet need to start stepping up. You guys can field a 70 man fleet during US timezone. You might not be the most experienced fleet, by, you know, on average pilots, but you still can do quite a bit. We've been impressed with you in the past with what your fleets have done. We've gone down and we've annihilated curse, we've annihilated goons with you guys. We've done it whether there have been 20 BOB and 70 RISE [in it]. Ya know? And you can't say that the 20 BOB are carrying those fleets, your 70 men in those fleets are what are carrying the fleet. You guys are capable of a lot, but you need to start stepping up, leading the groups, start mor- becoming more familiar working with these new fleet commanders and really, really build up your fleet again.

Having 25 PL hold down your home system is just gonna shoot down you guys morale, and quite frankly they shouldn't be able to do it. I've talked to Lokesh about it. One of the things that you guys need to start doing is: avoid at all cost fighting PL on even terms. Their tactics are not geared even fight. They're geared towards them having an edge with even numbers. Avoid them. If you avoid them, they have to start chasing you rather than holding down your system. If they start chasing you, then you're drawing them into your game more which means they've become more open and are easier to kill. They can't cloak, they can't run and they can't hide when they're chasing you gate to gate. That's the best way, if at all possible, to fight that kind of warfare. We've killed, we went roaming as a BOB gang last night and killed like 3 or 4 PL guys doing just that. We didn't try to fight them in a home system. We went and made them chase, we went and ran across them in system. And they lose ships, and they lose pods, and it's expensive because they pimp 'em out. So every chance you get, kill them on site. Don't wait for the fair fight, because they don't want it to be. They want it to be a fight in their favor even though it looks fair. Anybody have any questions, concerns about that?

RISE GUY: I just chime in with PL. I figure every kill on them costs is about the equivalent of 10 or 15 kills on us in terms of isk.

Luckyduck: Yeah but don't look at the isk ratio. That, that, people don't like looking at that unfortunately. I hate to say it, but it's true. I mean it's nice to know that you killed really expensive ships, but I could care less if I killed a tech 1 goon frigate, I'm still happy getting a kill. I mean, every every kill is a kill.

RISE GUY: Yup.

Luckyduck: Every loss is a loss because it still has to be replaced in the end.

Luckyduck: Guys, the reason I'm going into this is I know your guys morale is down. I mean heck, the fact that only 35 of you are on tonight shows that the morale is down.

But if you start doing these sorts of things, you're building morale back up because you'll start seeing small success. Take- Take this opportunity over the next couple weeks to go roaming in gangs, killing KOS, killing whoever else is in the area. The frenchies, whoever else. Use your- use your advantages, b- build up new fleet commanders, use the old ones that come back and start playing full time. Really, really take advantage of this. Because guys, this is a hard war for all of us. And if you can't handle this, you don't need to be in 0.0. And I'm not directing that at any one person, I'm not directing that at the alliance, I'm just stating it as a fact. You guys gotta hunker down, you gotta, you know you gotta keep the fight up. We've been doing this for a year now, you guys have been doing this for 6 months. Trust me, we're more exhausted than you are.

Luckyduck: Um... Unintelligible and a long pause. Right. Um... this... what's gonna happen hopefully over the next 3 weeks is is there's going to be a lot of push going on. But in order for us to do a major push, it's gonna ask a lot of our Feyth residents to really hunker down and hold the fort. We know we're gonna take losses, we know you guys are gonna lose some territory, you guys might even lose Sov. 4. It doesn't matter. A short term loss is not our problem. A long term gain is what our problem- is what our focus is. So what we're really askin'- unintelligible. What we're really asking of you guys is just to hold the fort. Maintain. You're gonna take some ship losses, you're gonna lose some fights, you're gonna win some fights.

Luckyduck: Don't- don't sit- don't sit in stations. Don't dock in stations. Don't log in stations. Log in space, log in a fleet ready ships. If you do that, you don't get stuck in stations when they camp you down. Have clones set, have jump clones set so that you can go to multiple different systems. And quit worrying about sieging. There's no need for RISE, DFC, anybody down there to siege at the moment. Because quite frankly, even with all three of you combined you don't have the numbers to take on the goons with 5,000 members. You know that, I know that, everybody knows that.

Luckyduck: Don't worry about the forums, don't even read the forums. All they're doing is throwing out slander. It doesn't matter that you can't take them all. We know that you can't take them all. You guys know it, they know it, its a matter of a 900 man alliance versus a 5,000 man alliance. Plus, all their friends. So don't worry about what you read, don't worry about what you see, just worry about what goes on. And know that, a plan is in action and everything is going to come out fine. At this point, don't worry about offensive. Just worry about maintaining what you have. Minimize your losses, get in fleet ships, build up your skills so that you can fly tech 2 long-range ships, and it'll help out in the long cause. 'cause guys, this war has got at least another year for either side. And uh I can promise you it's going to be long and drawn out. For both us or them.

Luckyduck: I uh like I said I'm not trying to harp on you guys, and I'm gonna cut this pretty short. I'm probably gonna leave it just about at that. Mainly because I got a fleet op to go lead in a second. But, I mean... Just hold it together. Get your guys more active, get your fleets back up to 70, start working with DFC, start killing everything in your path. If I get a chance, if my uh other fleet commanders from BOB get a chance, we'll even come down and take out roaming gangs for you guys. 'Cause I know from, that from what your fleet commanders are telling us your... you guys learn stuff every time you get to ride with us. And it helps you improve. Hell, it helps me improve when I ride with other alliances. It helps me ride with MC and I see how they do their stuff. So lets use this, we all got to work together on this. And mainly just... just hold down the fort. Don't let... a 25 man PL gang keep you bogged down. Learn how to fight it, learn how to avoid it. Does anybody have any questions, concerns, comments, anything? Does anybody have any questions about what BOBs up to? About what's going on in IAC space? About what you're seeing on the forums? Does anybody have any questions about anything?

RISE GUY: N- no. We know what's up, Lucky. You're not the one in the turf here. We're just down on our numbers a little bit, real life, it's no big deal. Um... Our fleet sizes are half that size and we've got new guys so... it's no big deal. We're already running groups out. Uh... basically nothing that he said in here today guys, hasn't been told to everyone before it's just a lot of you guys are new. You guys weren't through the Spring sieges so uh you're not use to the conditions. But we were hit like this in the Spring, we formed up little 3, 5, 10, 12 man groups and went up the pipe and beat the piss out of KOS and anything else that we could find. And... let those big fleets chase us, big deal. Um... Like you said, when we get in trouble, you know, our allies are going to come in with their caps, they're going to clean house. Basically we're going to pin them down and if we tie down enough of their assets here in RIT that's assets they can't use on the IAC front. The faster IAC falls, then AAA falls. If they keep attacking RIT, its uh too everyone's benefit.

Luckyduck: And the main thing guys really is get your guys active. Like I said, you guys can field a 70 man fleet. There's 70 people who could be on tonight, there's people who just thing "oh I don't have to be there tonight because we're not going to have anything going on." Start setting up ops, start setting up standard roaming gangs, have it- have some prepped up so you don't have to fit a ship at the time of the op. Have 'em ready to go, the quicker you get an op started the more people participate. The longer you have to wait, the less people participate. Don't sit there and do ops where you move slowly. Move fast. If any of you guys rolled in one of my fleets, I don't sit in system for more than 30 seconds. And I've had my fleet make literally 100 jumps in an hour. Move fast, make it a fast fun game. It- I guarantee you you'll see your numbers boost back up to 70 in a heartbeat. And work with your allies down there, you've got DFC and they can help you out every night. You've got RMF, they can help you out every night. And work together. Goons form up a 100 man gang? Go form up one of your own. Go take them on. Learn from your experience. You might beat them, you might not. Doesn't really matter. Learn from what you did.

Luckyduck: The main thing is is that we want to see you guys succeed as much as you guys do. But, I mean, ya know, we're worried. W- I- w- we are. We- we want to make sure that you guys are holding strong and, you know, when we see that 25 Pandemics are holding down a system at night it kind of... frustrates us. So don't let something like that get to you. Go just... mov- work around it. We do. We do it every night. Anybody else? Comments? concerns? New guys? Ya'll are really quiet tonight. What the hell? Everybody go away?

RISE GUY: No.

RISE GUY: We're chatting.

Couple people talk over each other here, can't make it out. Something about chatting in game.

RISE GUY: I'm here!

Luckyduck: Alright.

RISE GUY: You guys got questions now's your chance.

Luckyduck: You guys have got 40 people in this teamspeak right now. That's a pretty decent sized group at night. I would encourage you to go take a group down to K9. I think it's K-9 which is RMF space. More than likely you're going to get 40 to 60 goons down there trying to place towers. You might even get some tower kills if you go down. That would be a good spot to hit. You could also go up and hit KOS. Or go up and do something else. But you got a fleet, you got guys active right now, use 'em. Take a two hour roam. Take a one hour roam. Go do something. Um... that's about all I wanted to say tonight. Um... if you guys have any more questions or concerns send me an mail. Send me an evemail. Send me whatever. Hell, talk to your alliance leaders. They have contact information for me, on like three different [fronts?], ya know? Other than that, though, you're free to go back to your own teamspeak. Go do a roaming gang, whatever else you want to do. And I uh... I gotta go get to work on my [spine?].

RISE GUY: Goodnight, inaudible.
